The relative lack of blogging etiquette has only emphasized the need to maintain some sort of structure and the blogging arena. Blogging is a unique means of expression in itself, and that what was once a fairly invalided audience has now transcended geographical boundaries to encompass the rest of the world. While the personal approach remains a valid means of expression, the modern day blogger should at least make an effort to be understood by a wider range of readers. Blogging was originally used as a way for people to get their thoughts out on the Internet regardless of how trivial or insignificant they may seem to be. There is certainly nothing stopping you from doing the same today if you wish, although you can hardly expect everyone who comes across your blog to be interested in the minutiae of your day to day life.
