Basic car maintenance and repair that the vehicle owner can perform himself includes a routine check of steering and brake fluids, oil and oil filter, air filter, wiper blades and fluid, headlights and turn signals. Check your mirrors, dashboard lights, door locks and gear shaft to be sure they are operating properly, and keep the interior upholstery looking sharp.
