Many people do not know that the word "blog" was derived from "web log." This is important because many of the first blogs were like diary entries. Blogging has become extremely popular, so people are now blogging about news, opinions, politics, and just about everything you can imagine. If you are thinking about creating your own blog, they are easy to set-up, and most often, absolutely free. A large percentage of Americans, and indeed, many people in other countries either read blogs or are bloggers. The most popular forms of blogs these days are through social media accounts. Many people around the world have social media accounts, which they use to share their thoughts, feelings, opinions, and current events in their community. This helps tie humanity together and has vastly increased communications with people from other companies. Sometimes news hits the social media sites before reaching TV stations.
